What he believed to be truth was but a mask after all..
This Phantom of the Opera and Loki crossover occurred to me a while ago, so I thought I'd try sketching it out. 
Meh, I've got mixed feelings about this. Not sure if I should turn this into a finished piece or not :/ Should I?
For those who might be interested in an explanation: The way I see it, the mask literally represents Loki's Asgardian form, which as you know is concealing his true form. The disintegration of Phantom of the Opera mask represents Loki finding out that he's not in fact Asgardian, but Jotun.
[Since this is purely experimental, I didn't bother scanning it, hence the shoddy appearance XP Sorry!]

Hmmm... Honestly? I like it, but I don't think it's as good as some of your other art. If you want to continue doing some experimental stuff, then I say go for finishing it up, but if you don't, just leave it. Just my opinion, though- in the end it's up to you.

Fair assessment, and I completely agree with you. It's far from anywhere near presentable in my eyes; the colors are garish and it's just generally quite awkward. I suppose I'll try giving this idea another go because I really do like the idea. I just need to execute it better. Thank you for responding!

I really like it. And I think finishing it is a good idea because if this is in fact experimental you can't make a final decision on if you like it or not until it's done! That's just me though, even so it's still practice.
