As the warm sun sank into the flat land around Serenity Lake, Colin managed to squeeze in some last minute dressage training in for Varra in the large outdoor school. The mare had so far only competed once in the UK, with her receiving a solid 10th place. It wasn't bad for her first event outside of Spain, but Serenity Lake knew she could achieve so much more and maintain her reputation. She had been registered for one of the biggest events of the year; the Summer Dressage Show 2012, in the pas de deux in collaboration with another stable. She'd probably end up in another single class, but no plans had been made just yet. It'd be yet another 6 months until the show itself, and practice had already started.

While they were busy in the arena, Sebastián and Will wasted their time in the smaller paddocks behind the stables, turning out the young horses for the night. The fillies, Dot and Sebby, happily grazed, raising their heads every so often to the constant murmurs of the two men. The cold air revealed their breaths and started to frost the grass beneath them as the sky was slowly darkened.

"They'll have a good time here, I'll make sure of that!" Will grinned deviously up while resting his head on the fence.

Seb laughed and shook his head, "No, I'm not going to bring back any Spanish girls when I visit my parents next month. Not sure you're really their type anyway," his strong accent escaped his mouth.

"Oh come onnn, how will you know that until they come here? If I can ride horses well, surely these girls wont be a problem!" Will chuckled heavily. Seb merely rolled his eyes, unable to keep in his stiffled laughter. He had no idea if Will was being serious or if he was joking around, and he refused to find out. They both straightened up and started the short walk back to the main stables.

Will carried on with his suggestions. "They can stay in town if you're really worried about them! And for safety reasons, give me the room number and key o.o"

"NO! Stop ittt," Seb pleaded. "The culture back in Andalusia is very different to around here anyway x'D"

"What.. parties? Riding? I'll make sure they enjoy it here dammit"

"You're missing the festivals and traditions, my friend."
Will paused to think, kicking up some grass in mid-thought. He eyed Seb and gestured to him with his hands.

"Hm fine. I'll come with you! " Will raised his eyebrows and beamed a smirk.

Seb slowed and looked at him wide-eyed, "Oh god "

Some time in to their conversation, across the pathway, a loud snort and grunt echoed from the arena. It was an uncomfortable sound. A panicked sound. Will and Seb both turned their heads in question and intently listened.
Serenity Lake had now become soaked in a light orange glow, and the boys squinted as they looked into the direction of the sound. They hastily walked around the stables so that the outdoor arena was in view, in which they saw Varra stood over a body. Colin's.

It took a split second for Will to react and immediately started running over, with Seb in tow. He rushed past Josie as she was just finishing up with the stalls and shouted to her, "Josie, go to the office and grab the phone! NOW! We may need it!"
In dressage schooling, Colin had never been known to fall from a horse. Especially if that horse was a calm and gentle mare with no record of acting up at all.

The lads hopped the fence and jogged over to aid the fallen man, who was now sat up in a daze, in hope they had caught him in time.
