stilll waters, ice floats, and a warm spring evening on lake superior. tried to capture the blueness of the evening without using a color image. forgot my sx-70 and time-zero. mainly post-processed using lightroom.equivoque photo

i can't imagine its being dry where you are. i used to live in alabama, and the humidity was most oppressive! things are fine here. waiting for a good weekend to drive up to the great lake with my toy cameras!

Well, where do I start???!!! - A long time ago I was addicted to drugs, prescription ones....very very powerful ones that pretty much took away my soul.
When I would take one of the small blue tablets, I would float, rapidly, into another world - somewhere between reality and death. It was barren, yet beautious; verdant, but cool cold blue; cold inky ice floes as warm and safe as amniotic duvets.
This is as near to that place as I have yet seen in an image made real - and it makes me understand why the tablets were so addictive.
A favourite with a strong wrench of something so bad it was good.
Sorry if this doesn't make sense, but I ws transported away for a while.

no worries... and the real scene of ice floats on a warm spring evening on lake superior would have made your spirit soar higher. it was one transporting of the soul into all encompassing beauty until the sunlight died. a sight that will not be duplicated. something exquisite and utterly special.

i prefer light. even overexposure. i think i begin to react against the dark strangeness of da, though i love a lot of dark works from an appreciator's pov.
