Description
Okay, here's the first of my end-of-semester uploading glut. I'm going to try to upload all the stuff I've been making since September on Tuesday, when I've finished my last class. This one was a Design assignment; we all made paper animals using only paper and glue, no color. I was the only one insane enough to create an anatomically correct skeleton, then cover that with transparent paper. Hence why mine is on a light table; you need the underlighting to really see the skeleton inside. Did you know that frogs have no ribcages? Only small prongs on either sides of their vertebrate? Neither did I till I had to recreate it.Related content

ThatΒ΄s really insanely-cool how youΒ΄ve createn tis masterpiece.
I really love the idea with the semi-transparent paper to show the skeleton. And yeah I already saw such skeletons before and itΒ΄s really funny about their "ribs".

Pattern? Hahah! I wasn't following a plan. I had a photo of a frog skeleton, a stack of paper, and a bottle of glue. Glad you like it, though.

hehe, i see.
i'm the sort who would make a pattern rather than go at it right away, but it's really neat that you just made this as you went along. o: it's really gorgeous.

I didn't know that about frogs' ribs, so you taught me something. I love the method of presentation.

wait if they dont have ribcages, what are the bones you have to snap when you cut their bellies open?

Could be cartilage. All of the actual skeletons I researched had no ribs; could be the structure continues, but not using bone tissue.

That is, most definitely, way cool. I can hardly imagine how to go about creating something like that! Boggles me mind, it does. The fly wings are probably my favorite part, and his feet, too. It would probably be make a neat halloween decoration if you replaced the fly with a human arm/leg and put it on top of a strobe light. :0
