(Originally posted in 2008.)Done as an art-trade with , this is her Kadanzer Weyr ([link] ) character, T'syr, and his bronze Yengarth, during weyrling training. (So, around the time they'd start making their first flights.)
I was worried about trying to color and shade a bronze in this new style and medium I'm experimenting with, but I actually felt it came out better than I expected. That makes up for the fact that overall I'm not as satisfied with this as I'd like to be; I feel like the pose of both rider and dragon are awkward.
(Of the four dragon pieces I'm posting today, I feel like this one is the least successful.)Pen and ink with Copic marker coloring and then lots of fussing in Photoshop (background is just a filtered photo).

he almost not quite looks like a gold! but i can tell he's not a gold, he's a bronze.
hm.. maybe some pple thought you'd posted a guy riding a gold and got huffy and decided not to fave?
cause this is aesome! You have a really distinctive style of drawing pernese draogns and it makes them look better than most other styles ive seen
