Description Another lost Nyxon pic.
Nyxon is a girl- her name a mix between Trot Nixon, the Red Sox outfielder and Nyx- the greek Goddess of Night
Her older step sister is named Freya, so the Goddess name trend continues

Oh, absolutely. As long as she isnt chewing socks, underwear, paper, forks, pens, pencils, chairs, couch cushions, table legs, desk corners, blankets, sweat pants and or jeans.

LOL. When my dogs were little we taught them to bring us things that were in the "dog zone" that weren't supposed to be there, then if they were allowed to have it, it was instant play time, if they weren't allowed to have it, we traded for a cookie. So... when I was at my friend's house one time, her teenager was a complete slob, and my pit-pei, Haley, kept bringing him socks, pens, paper, whatever she could find just for the treats and as time went on you could hear his voice getting more and more exasperated saying: thank you, Haley. LOL She did it to my gramma too, usually with her slippers. We would hear her from upstairs: Haley! Where are my slippers?!

Interesting. I dont have the knowledge to train mine that way- I suppose I should be thankful though. My niece had a dog who ate a couple pairs of her underwear and had to have surgery to remove them. I kept telling her they were getting Kong and Thong confused which she didnt appreciate.

OMG, that's hilarious! Shame your niece didn't "appreciate" the humor.

It was a really convenient way to train the dogs, except, as I said, Haley was super-smart and would bring me gramma's slippers from upstairs so that she could get a cookie. Then of course: one time my shar-pei came inside just dancing and flinging something around like it was the best toy EVER!! And he NEVER did that, so I'm like: ooohhhhh what do you have....? And he danced over and flung it at me, so proud of himself. Took me a moment of staring at the slobber-coated thing in my hand to realize is was the rotten leg-portion of a muskrat Emmie had killed the week before. I'm sure I made "that face" while trying to play it cool: Oh, thank you for bringing that to mommy, but lets go have a cookie and I'll go boil my hands!

My niece doesnt really have a good sense of humor

Oh, ewwwwww. And I say that in a most manly way. I think I would have dropped it right away and then boiled my hand.

Well, they're self-conscious at that age.

Ha ha, I could almost hear that! It was pretty gross. Emmie had literally peeled the animal the week before, and I had to go out and catch it and finish the poor thing off. Fortunately, I'd kept snakes, so I knew how/had gotten used to dispatching rodents. Blah! The things I do for my "kids"!!! LOL

Ah, no worries. I dont get grossed out too easily. Although engorged ticks and thinking about them popping will do it. So we will just stay away from that topic.

*shudders* Oh I HATE ticks! I haven't seen any here, but in southern CA we had them on occasion, well, not "us" but the dogs, lol. They're so gross! I think they should be outlawed! And mosquitoes while we're at it. That's one vector the population of Earth could do without!

I read that there are scientists how altered male mosquito DNA to not reproduce. Unfortunately, ticks are here to stay, so I grin and hopefully dont bear them.

Yes, on my every-growing list of things to ask the gods, one is most certainly: mosquitos... WHY?! And now you've reminded me to add tics to the list!
