Okay, this was an experiment - I had never ever coloured anything digitally before this picture (apart from some flat colouring for shirts, and have to add, I am not big on colouring traditionally either) so I decided to make a picture of my boyfriend's World of Warcraft character to serve no other purpose but to be my guinea pig for this project.I can see that there are some errors but I am somewhat still proud of how it turned out. I really enjoyed doing the coloured lights, so probably my next try/project will involve more of those...

Great job. Nice details and interesting pose. Digital painting can be hard to get right but this is looking nice. If you use photoshop, try out different brushes and don't be afraid to screw it up.
And tell your boyfriend he has great taste in gear. Frost witch is my favorite Shaman set.

Thanks a lot for the useful comment! I am using Paint Tool Sai for colouring - it makes some aspects of it a lot easier than Photoshop although I have some really great brushsets for the latter - I should find a way to transport them somehow
