Description
I did two pictures for the moon maiden, this is the second one.The story of the moon maiden always amuses me, the fact that she ate some anti-gravity tablet and floats to the moon is somewhat...hilarious? But I guess there is the sad side to the story: she doesn't know how to float...down. No more good ol' home for her.

Wow... that's really neat. I like the feeling and how the rabbits form the border.

Eh? So this is the story of Chang e? I'm not all to familiar with it but... there are rabbits in the story?? O.o
Well, there seems to be a lot of stories with ppl getting punished for doing something they were told not to do eh... ^^ *coughpandoracough*
Anyways, I really like this piece. It is a mix of your own style and a somewhat more traditional style, and I think it fits the story very well ^^
btw... are you chinese??

First of all, thank you for all your comments :'D
There are no rabbits in the Chinese tale of Chang-er, but I just thought they make a nice border for my picture ;D
And o.o I am Chinese.

Don't worry about it ^^ I'm replying a bit late too... was in China for three weeks and didn't have access to internet ^^'~ Back now though....
I love old Chinese tales (I'm a romantic ^^). In fact, I love almost everything from the old/ancient chinese culture. Am thinking of drawing a chibi version of Niu Lang Zhi Nv ^^'~

I'll try and give you a brief summary of it/ Since I heard it when I was little, the story I am telling you might be completely altered XD.
Basically, the moon maiden, Chang-er had a valient husband. He won a tablet of immortality from heaven sages. The sages instructed him to only take half of the tablet to reach immortality. He wanted to share the tablet with Chang-er and he told her to only take half. For some reason, he had to leave before he eats the tablet. e.e Chang-er, who was anxious, took half of the pill.
Then she wondered what the effect would be if she takes the other half...and curiosity got the best of her. After took the remaining half, she begins to float. Her husband got home just as she was floating up to the moon. He could only watch helplessly and regretted he obtained the tablet at all. So in the end, Chang-er was punished with eternal solitude on the moon. (there were no rabbit for companionship XD that's japanese.) Cruel story reallly. e.e
Hope you enjoy ;D
