If my computer could handle it (and if I could figure out how to do it) I'd want to do a live stream. But I don't think my internet is good enough for it

I'd definately watch it if you'd make one, it'd be a great experience to see u coloring in live time o.o
u color with Sai or with Photoshop?
And which tablet u use?

Yeah it's just that I don't really know how to LS and my internet is kinda slow.
But I use an old 5x8 graphire Wacom tablet and photoshop CS5 (though only just recently, a lot of my previous works was PS Elements 3)

Lol, i bet anyone always thinks that their internet is kinda slow XD"
I also often asks myself and wishes it'd be faster ._.
I never worked with PS Elements, is it much more difficult then the CS series?

Well I'm basically using my smart phone to make wifi, so I can safely say that my internet is pretty damn slow.
And it's more sophisticated, and there are more tools, it's more customizable in general. I'm still getting a hold of it since I've been using Elements for like... 5 years, and CS5 in only the past few months.

Okay, that's really damn slow.
Sometimes i'm using also my iphone to make wifi so i know how slow it can be :/
I live in germany but on the edge to France and Luxembourg so it is sometimes a real competition with the operator to get good internet connection.
Where do u come from?
I always use SAI for outlines, CS5 for coloring but i confess that the blur option in Sai is definately more easy to get a hand to then in CS5... but i guess u don't need that option, it doesn't look like if u would use blur in ur colorations,or?

It's okay for what it is, but I wouldn't try to stream with it. And I live in Boston so the service has to be pretty good, I never have dropped calls cause you can't have dropped calls in the middle of big cities.
I have SAI, I haven't used it yet though simply because PS is familiar, though I wanna try out their brushes
I don't blur any of my colors with a blur tool or blur option. All of the (hard) colors are made with a brush that's 100% hardness and 0 spacing. When I do soft colors I use different brushes with other flow and spacing and options.

Nah i guess streaming wouldn't be a good choice with a wi-fi connection XD"
Brushes in Sai are way more simple then in PS, though i guess it's just because it's free or at least not as professional as PS.
U can change density, hardness and also the peaks but for using stamps or tons of brushes like stars, rainbows, assassin sign , it's better to use PS.
I guess i never noticed soft colors in ur colorations before o.o or i just didn't see them XD"

Yeah Sai sounds a lot like a grown up version of oC which I used to use in high school, which was actually a really nice program, good color blending etc but very basic. PS has a lot of tools to use and it has brushes like that too, I just don't use them much.
And softer colors like this or this . Soft shading as apposed to my hard shading I do now. I still do soft I think it's faster then my hard shading at this point, but I like hard shading more, and I just haven't done it in a while. You get smoother transitions of color, but I like the dynamic I can get with hard better.

What's oC? Never heard of it sry.
I began with gimp two years ago and then i got CS4 and after CS5.
I was curious what SAI is about so i downloaded it months ago and now i use it basically for every outline
Ah, 'kay now i understand what u mean with smoother.
But honestly I agree with u.
Hard shading looks a lot more expressive and intense with ur style, u should keep going on with it.

openCanvas. I don't see it anymore so I think it's pretty outdated. It's mainly an Asian program though cause the website is in... Japanese I think.
I should try SAI out. I'm just lazy and don't wanna learn a new program /le sigh

ah i heard the name but never saw it actually o.o
I guess if u r familiar with PS u should probably stick with it,
i find it more professional and with SAI u can not tap the full potential of an artist.
U study art or design or sth in this direction?
Because if u do i'd advise to stick with PS, u will need it more in future c:

Well apparently SAI handles colors and blending better. Which is great for soft shading artists. But... yeah not for people who do coloring like me where precision that PS gives you is king XD
And I go to college for art, though it's more of a traditional art school. Not much digital. It's getting there though owo
