I can just picture this in my mind. The model poised on her stone perch, a lovely study in contrast between skin and rock! And you. as always, poised between genius and disaster, on the brink of a dip in the drink.

Good thing you are as lucky as you are talented.

How you know me...it was a little precarious for me, but only mildly dangerous...the waves that were breaking splashed me, but didn't actually get me wet...the leg cramps were worth the image. This was my first WOW image with the 17mm T/S, though the next session was when I made my best images since Scotland ([link] ) with the same lens

Do you travel very far to find these amazing rockscapes? Are they beachside or what? I love the softness of form within the cragginess of the rocks, lovely contrasts all round!

Thank you for your compliment - this is my favorite image from the session, though you are the only one to comment on it so far (shows you have taste, perhaps).

The space is within 20 minutes of where I live, and dozens of other such spaces are as close, in different directions, and hundreds likely if you extend the circle to an hour from my apartment. It's right by the coast - my right foot got wet making this in fact, and we were surrounded by the deep bass of breaking waves amongst the rocks.

It all sounds magical! I shall have to pray for divine intervention so that I can muster the fares and come over to Canada sometime So far my trips there have been limited to being stuck in Vancouver airport for 12 hours and another half day at Toronto airport...(Made the mistake of travelling with a mickey mouse airline!)But I spent all day watching the planes take off and land over the rockies...whetted my appetite, quite!

Well, Vancouver is as far away from here as you can get, pretty much...probably only a little farther from you to Vancouver, right now...Miranda made it around the world (Canada, India, Australia, Canada) in 67 days, so it can be done...but I think you have to be crazy to do these things...

I must say that 67 days is a little too fast for me! I have been in 18 countries but always over a lo9nger period of time..lots in Asia, where we took 4 kids under 5, and a bit in Europe..I love Holland...
