Terrific image - the use of the lines in the rock and the models body really leads you into the image. Your effort in blending different exposures has worked very well - the blur of the sea and dark brooding sky both add to the atmosphere. Definitely a picture to be proud of!

I won't call anyone crazy but my preference is for the crop.

Yup, the circle is how it will live, once it is in the larger work (i.e. the new website)...but for dA, both will survive until replaced by newer work...

call me crazy... but I like this one... the centered position of the model gives a certain stillness that I really like.

It's not crazy, it's why some people like blue, and others, red...it's an opinion...

I think the crop works better, it was unusual and radial look really suited this.
Colors here are brilliant it's really rare to see that richness in the sky with a long exposure of the water: there is a real tangible beauty of technique that shines through and matches all the obvious aesthetic beauty to this

Thanks for the comment - keep in mind the sky is a blend of three exposures, and the water, a blend of another three, with the figure added for yet another frame, so the colours, while "real" were not able to be recorded at one time...the eye could see it, but not the camera, basically...

Yes exactly, that's why i mentioned the occurrence of the colors together is so uncommon and speaks to the craftsmanship here

I love this image but the circular crop really makes it feel exciting. I know you said you were disappointed with it but I find it to have a fine painterly feel to it.

Thanks...I have made a 10" proof of the circular image, and am very pleased with that decision, so I will work the full image up, and print it big sometime!

I do prefer it like that, maybe it's just a habit, who knows.
anyway, I love it

I don't like how centred the model is in the composition, but cropping from the sky, or water, left or right, makes it even worse...thus my preference for the circle!

yeah, it's true that the centered model is not, say, perfect. But I like it still ^^
