Well, from what I see in your gallery, your rendering pieces are mind-blowing. I'm guessing you are a "renderer" who sees better tonally as opposed to seeing in line (in terms of line drawing). It's evident from your figure drawings that they fall short of your potential skills. I don't mean to offend you in any way. I think once you bring your drawing skills up to the level of your rendering skills.....you will be supreme.

Here's what I see in your figure drawings---they are somewhat stiff, lacking gesture and life. The best way to remedy this is to push and push your gestures. You can always bring them back if you go too far. You have nice proportions, but I'd watch your anatomy. I'd say you should pay close attention to the hands and feet. Some of your lines seem like you're way too " cautious". Try not to think this way. You should mark your lines with bold, confident strokes. This will make your drawings look more dynamic.

In general, your drawings aren't bad. There's room for improvement though. And a lot of it is just by keen observation.

I'll be the first to admit that my drawings are not up to professional level yet. But I do know what a professional piece looks like. So we both can use some improvements. I'm in the same boat as you are. We all learn as time passes.

I wish I had the time to take a life drawing class (and I wish they offered them at night near me... )...this is a great sketch, very well defined for a 10 minute quicky.
