This is one my pictures that I love best. Last year, when travelling in South East Germany, the local tourist board had arranged a hotel for us near the station. It looked out on the site of a factory that was being demolished. There are two kind of people - those who'd register a complaint, and those who hastily chuck every camera they have with them in their backpack and start moving. I shot it with my normal camera (the Canon 450D), I shot it with my Holga and probably also with my Pentacon. Not sure if these were much good, but after 45 minute photographic frenzy, I returned to the room, sat on the corner of my bed and I saw this. I only had to lift my camera, right where I sat.
No matter what anybody else says, I think this is one of my best pictures, and that's why I dedicate it to my niece, in reply to her kind dedication
