Description
Once an albino alligator kept by a couple with more money than sense, such a pet being against the law in most places, Alby was gradually transformed by meteor radiation until it was one of the early wave of mutant kaiju. After some battles with the military and other kaiju it found its way to the meteor crash site in the American South.
There the space monster Claku lured it into the swamp its presence was transforming the city into. The giant alligator became perpetually lost in the fog, foraging what it could, which was often some creature that Claku didn't want to fight that was led to the alligator's jaws. The space monster uses Alby as a way to fight invaders larger than itself.
The monster has a particularly thick armored hide and spews high pressure, flammable fluid from its mouth to stun its prey. In spite of its kaiju might, living for over a decade in the thick poison swamp has left Alby sickly and nearly blind.
Alby and Claku are an early battle in Edge of the World's third part.
