Description
When I learned how poor her pose was for someone who's supposed to know how to do ass-kicking stuff I sort of lost all enthusiasm for this... so I can't call it done, but I don't see spending the time with it to finish. I'll need to revisit her entirely at some point, but I think I'll try to actually do some writing and do other characters along with her. She'll probably be redesigned to just pants too, I've kept the front and back flap thing so long just so I would be able to hide the legs a little. I figure I'll learn them better and I'll get rid of it in the future.Jennique's fairly obviously the warrior woman sort, but the time frame of the story will have her acting as a mentor character into her middle age, so hopefully she's not cookie cutter. She'd be more comfortable with her lightning enchanted spear weapon on hand, but she's not prone to giving up just because she doesn't have it.
Humans, Elves and Dwarves all have some level of internal conflicts, they often have more severe issues with each other, but they're prone to teaming up on the Velocin for being the odd ones out in terms of the setting's sentient creatures. The bad guy of the series uses their resentment and marginalization to get them to help with his schemes.

I thought so too when I referenced the pose, but someone who knows stuff about martial arts left a comment about how a real fighter would use their arms to protect their body and that she should be hitting with the edge of her foot. It was an informative comment I appreciated, but it did kind of leave me going "Aw, I did wrong?"
So, I'll just keep the stuff in mind for the future.

Lacks tension on the lizard man's face. But I think her pose is ok.

Hmm, yeah, good point. I'm not sure if I didn't think about it or I didn't know how to depict it.
The pose is referenced, but it was by someone that doesn't do martial arts, and when I had this in progress someone who did know them came along and said that there's a certain part of the foot that she should be hitting with -- I'll have to look it up again, and that she should be using her arms to protect her body.
It was a nice, informative comment but it was sort of late in the drawing's development.
