Hi Eric, I am a professional portrait sculptor working for a company that does a lot of museum figures. Β I mainly use Super Sculpey as a medium due to its color and bakeability. It also details very well. However, I am longing to get back to loose traditional sculpting and have used Roma 4 (really hard) in the past, and WED clay. I love the silkiness of Roma compared to chavant, and don't mind the smell. I assume you use Roma 1 for small/maquette gestural work and the Roma 2 for the final sculptural piece, is this true? Do you clear coat before molding or just use urethanes? I understand if you wish not to share this information.
Much respect

Excellent work.Β Is there an armature attached to the board base and running through the rocks beneath her foot and her leg?Β Or was it assembled using the traditional horizontal pipe and vertical rod going through her back or side of the hip?

Incredible! The pose is so dynamic and the forms have such a sense of presence and realism. I normally am not too interested in sculpture (not to say I don't appreciate it), but this certainly grabbed my attention. Great work!
