Description [ 7P 3 ]

This is my very first posted Pattern for Photoshop CS. I made them because I wanted to make some parchment paper in Photoshop and actually got these off of drawings done by Leonardo Da Vinci.

Don't let my image above fool you. I used "Paperbrushes" by chain for that crinkled and photocopied edges and also "Stain Brushes" by poison-stock112 for that stained look.

***I will any Dev's that uses my patterns***

Parchment Paper pattern/texture was done by me. Total time: Approximately 10 mins

Best way to use them

Make a selection and then just fill with which of the 7 Parchment Patterns you'd like to use.

It is a seamless pattern so you can make any size piece of paper you want.

All I ask in return

Hey Guys, this is great... in about 1 month 13 favorites and almost 800 downloads, I'm so overwhelmed. I just wish I had some more feedback on these. If you have downloaded them and actually liked them or thought they were useful or even if you hated them, please let me know through comments or notes.

I want to start making more but dont know if it is even worth the time. Was experimenting with making parchment paper action script... look for it in the near future.

I know I sound like an idiot... but I've never "learned" how to use photoshop... so this is my dumb question... "I've downloaded the texture but how do I get to the textures menu? How do I use it?"
sorry... ^_^''

ericsalvi In reply to demonkitty0 [2007-08-05 23:05:21 +0000 UTC]

Well it isn't a dumb question. Did you place the textures into your texture folder in the root adobe photoshop folder? If you did do that... all you have to do is make a selection, then goto edit and Fill. Once you are in the Fill box, click pattern and then in the pattern window there should be a triangle in the top right corner. This is were you load my parchment patterns then you click which one you want and then it fills it in for you.

Good Luck.

Hey i tried that, and it doesn't come up o.o I also tried putting the file in nthe pattern root folder and still nothing ... i'm still a n00b playing with photoshop if you can tell

ericsalvi In reply to LaPumpkina [2010-03-26 22:05:42 +0000 UTC]

you have to put the file in the right section in the photoshop presets>pattern folder. Once in that folder with the other .pat files then you open up photoshop, make a selection, goto file or edit>fill then fill with the pattern. You may need to load the pattern in that fill pattern window first. Good luck. Let me know.
