Description
Color variants of the Space Marine chibi drawing passed to Procreate to represent various Chapter Astartes.
The Salamanders were the XVIII Legion of Space Marines that the Emperor created for his Great Crusade. Their Primarch is Vulkan, and their home is the volcanic world of Nocturne. During the Horus Heresy, they fought on behalf of the Imperium, but were almost completely shattered in the Istvaan V Landing Massacre, and are still a small force compared to other Chapters today.
Space Marines originating from Nocturne have onyx-colored skin, and their blood-red eyes glow in the dark. Like most of the members of the Chapter, they are skilled men as craftsmen and blacksmiths. They had once been a Legion, but are now a small Chapter, barely 800 Astartes. The induction of new recruits is slow and they form only a small fighting force.
