Political map of Europe in aftermath of World War I in year 1918 in Imperial Machines universe, showing the map based on Eric4e's blank Europe map. It was created on 4 December 2013 and might seen a great success to Eric4e's drawing skills of maps. As used on IM mainpage previously, it's now outdated due to major changes on map and renaming to Imperial Machines.Related content

I was just gonna ask about that. Should be the Russian Empire in 1914.
It's still a very cool breakdown, though! Map is gorgeous, and good font choices.

As a said, The Russian Empire collapses in 1905 due to Russian Revolution succeed same way and nine new states was formed. If they only modern Russian republics is different with language and culture, there republics now added as Socialist Soviet Republics of USSR.

I think it's a map for some sort of alternative history thing...
In our, non-alternative history, if it's 1914, then there was no USSR, and Poland, Moldova, Baltic States, Finland, Caucasian countries - were all parts of the Russian Empire.
And if it's 1918+ - then there shouldn't be Austria-Hungary, but a lot of new countries instead...
And in either case - Norway was independent due to a referendum vote since 1905.
