I am scared of insects. It's kind of irrational. Up until now, at the tender age of 30, whenever there was an insect in my room my reaction was running away screaming. Then mom or dad took care of the problem and I didn't even want to see the corpse.But NOW I'M AN ADULT. Or so it seems. So when the other day I found a little intruder in my bathroom, I womaned up, took my faithful flyswatter, sincerely apologized to the poor thing and killed it.
I really don't like killing them, but it was BIG. AND SCARY. AND TOO FAR FROMΒ THE WINDOW TO GENTLY SHOO IT OUTSIDE, WHAT IF IT ENDED UP IN MY HAIR, IT'D NEVER GET OUT OF THERE.
It was dead. It was kind of... splattered... all over the bathtub, it really couldn't be anything but dead. But then it twitched. And I kind of overreacted.
An antenna and a couple of legs ended up scattered on the floor, and I flushed the rest down the toilet. It was DEAD. But just in case it wasn't, I didn't want it crawling out of the rubbish.

Well, if they scare you that much you could try some Venus flytraps. Those plants are awesome too.

Oh god, I'm alive. I haven't been on in AGES....so much to catch up on....
All bugs are my bane, ALL OF THEM!!!
I once decided to go for a midnight snack one evening because I was feeling a bit hungry.
It was pitch black and a traveled to the kitchen, closed the door behind me and turned on the light.
On the floor was a spider the size of my fist (and I have big hands...Gorilla hands!)
We just stared at each-other for like 5 minutes, then it ran at me, and I ran away so god damn fast. Almost ran through the door.
I was once taking a bath when a giant Moth landed on my back. I proceeded to fall out of the bath onto the floor, twisting my leg, and almost breaking my neck, then limp-ran out.
I woke up one day sleeping next to a moth on my pillow. That pillow case was burned.
When there is a bug in a room, I convince myself that I don't even need/want to go into that room, and wait the ENTIRE DAY before going back to the room. If said room is MY room, and I no longer see this bug, I will wrap myself underneath my bed cover and sleep in a cocoon of blankets.
I successfully smacked a fly with a broom. However when I kill a bug, I'm afraid to clean it up. So I went to get the hoover to do the cleaning. When I returned the fly was having a spasm on the floor before getting up and flying again. IT WAS ONLY UNCONSCIOUS!
HATE THEM, HATE THEM ALL!!!
Also hate killing moths. Always leave a brown stain on the walls!

yeah, I was wondering where you went... had fun, at least?
once I found a dead bug in my pajama pants. It had even been ironed in them. Threw them in the garbage.
And once, when I was studying, a dead bug fell from the ceiling going right through my hair and landing on my book. I pushed my chair back from the table plastering myself on the farthest wall, then stared at the thing for a good 3 minutes, took the book, and went shake it outside the window, all the while checking that the bug wasn't somehow coming back to life.
And the "They're more frightened of you than you of them" doesn't actually make my fear go away, so I don't know why people keep saying it

Yeah I had fun.....kinda.....ish......no that's a lie.
I've been occupied with work papers and the lot. No fun times.
Ergh, I hate it when they just DIE above me, or fall from the light. Eeeeerrrrr give me goosebumps just thinking about it.
They are creatures I do not want anywhere near my vicinity.
Ergh! BUGS!
And I know for a fact that Wasps and Hornet are not frightened of us. They are evil incarnate! They will chase you down! EVIL!

Bees are the only bugs I'll allow in my perfect world, maybe butterflies, but they are monstrosities up close.

Heh, I'm okay with most insects and spiders (heck, I kinda like spiders), but there are some bugs that send me into 'YOU DARE TO TRESPASS INTO MY REALM' rage XD Mostly it's either those that can bite me or who ruin my food.

I have a standing deal with all insects, arachnids, and the sun: They leave me alone, I'll leave them alone. Thus far it's worked out marvelously. I highly recommend it.Β
