Description
So, after I drew Cedric & Anna, one of my friends (whose name is in the photo above) asked me to draw an Okapi baby. Now, I was against it, because 4 Okapis is my limit! However, word spread around my class, so I cracked under pressure a couple weeks later & drew THIS!Before posting the status post (Can be viewed here: erik-the-okapi.deviantart.com/… ) on picking names for this, I made a list of boy names, & "Chester" got picked; Around the time, I liked the name "Azizi" from
Now, because of that name, I now have to draw 2 more OCs named "Azuzu" & "Azizi"; They might be either Okapis, of Giraffes, so IDK
Now, this fellow is supposed to be Cedric & Anna's 3rd kid, following Erik & Kyra. The overalls he wears are supposed to be similar to that of Erik's overalls. He was also given a bowtie.
He doesn't have stripes because they haven't "grown it" yet.

Erik - nice work! It looks like the media used is pencil - plenty of it. It looks well balanced with a simple palette of blues, blacks, brown and hint of green. Now this is the kind of drawing I like - not too much technical enhancing or avoiding it entirely.
For a child he looks cute and quite small. Not sure about the end of his tail as it looks a bit oversized. It is as big as his head! If it were smaller, I think the perspective of the drawing would be improved. Also, be aware of the pencil rubbings - thankfully I can't see many of them interfering with the main image so it is not a deal breaker. You could try using PhotoShop to get rid of them, but honestly the rubbings does seem to indicate a lot of effort spent relative to the short notice you were given.
