It is called Luftfaust or Fliegerfaust, a 2cm weapon against low flying planes. 7 barrels of rockets.

More effective was in use contra infantry, then planes, because it has big spread - 50metres at 500m range.

They used them as well, and concrete grenades for Volksturm , so many interesting tuff was in field use , especially at last days of war...

Well, yes it's very similiar, but mostly in shape only. The bolt is totally different, and has a cock handle from the right side, while Stg 44 has from left.So, it's not that straight
