Yep, it is a good camera. 10f/s if it is needed and sharp results will be guaranteed

That owl is smallest in Europe, weight about 50 g.

Interesting little owl. Is it fairly calm around people? The owls around here where I live are very shy. But the Great Grey ones I've seen out in Alberta are amazingly calm and will really tolerate you being close as long as you are calm.

Yes it is  fairly calm if you are also calm. Owls are one of my fav. birds, but still not that easy to find them. 
Hawk owl is a bit harder to get that close and get good shot.
