Finally something I'm very pleased with.
I've started this work with a simple photomanipulation (bottom) and then I started to add all the details in the upper part. The alien robots are inspired by the tripods from the Hollywood movie "War of the Worlds". Those two escaping from the battle were actually meant to be simple jetplanes in the first place.
I've painted a lot of details myself this time. As usual the planets are made by me.

nice - those alien things remind me more of the scrin tripods in cnc3 than the war of the world walkers. they could do with a little more detail though, as theyre very soft at the moment - although looking at the detail i can see its more the resampling. the smoke on the plane/tripod thing on the right is a bit odd too, maybe (if its only on a single layer) remove it and see how it looks)
