Description
Solkan Bridge is a 220-metre long stone bridge over the river Soča near Nova Gorica in western Slovenia. With an arch span of 85 metres it is the second longest stone arch in the world and the longest stone arch among train bridges. It was built in the time of the Secession, between 1900 and 1906.Source: Wikipedia

A poem written by ~SnowCullen
The Bridge of My Dreams
I have seen before
It's familiar but different now
Do I walk on it
The waves and curves making it difficult to understand
I have to remember
And I must see
I must see what is on the other side
My mind creating colors only few know
And ones I know all too well
For that is my nature
To see what others don't
Someone says why go
I say why stay
Because you are taking your chances
And it might not be safe
I don't worry about safe
Safe is fine for most I guess
This though is too beautiful not to cross
Not to follow
For it's better than a Yellow Brick Road
How do you describe something bathed in golden light
Flowing aqua beneath like a flow of lava
A dark blue sky like wallpaper
So
Do I stay or do I go
Go
To stay would be to never experience
Amela Ramic painted a painting from my "Dream Bridge" and I am very happy that someone like it so much.
Thank you.

The distortion and enhanced colours gives this a really surreal feeling, and I love how majestic it feels.
Wonderful!

I LOVE this, the distortion from the panorama, though maybe not intentional, is brilliant! Along with the winding river, it gives the whole photo a flowing feel, great work!!

Beautiful
the composition is really striking, letting the eye 'enter' the landscape through the bridge.
I especially like the distortion in this photo. Creating curves and diagonal lines gives the viewer really an impression of this huge bridge and maybe respect for the height this bridge has (this impression is boosted because the curves of the bridge and river are working in opposite directions)
This is making the impression of the photo to feel more real.
The light is also amazing how it fills the holes in the bridge with warm orange light which contrasts to the cold colors of the bridge itself
Perfect photo in my opinion
I could not think of how this could have been made better with photographic means
There might be some tricks in editing or maybe combining photos of different daytimes to give the hill a bit more light, but I like photos in a natural light so for me this one is perfect!

This is AMAZING! Yeah I thought it looked more...curved...than it should have been but that still didn't take away from anything! I love it!
