On a fun trivia note, all three of the card fighters are all based on characters from other Brave series.
Ace = Exkaiser (with the helmet being based on Dran from Goldran)
Jack = Da-Garn
Ten = Guard Star

According to the info gathered by they recycled a number of models from other series for the Brave Police, Transformers being an obvious one as well as the other Brave Saga series. So you are absolutely correct.
