Oops, I thought I'd posted this on Saturday, but I must have forgotten to hit the submit button. Sorry about that...

I have to admit, I did find it a bit awkward to describe Jessica's new attire. Incredibly, it is an in-game outfit, and really does have a fairly good defence rating. However while you can dress her up in it in the game and have her meet kings and so on in it, in this story I really couldn't see her ever put it on. I mean, she might be a tomboy and disparage her mother's emphasis on proper behaviour, but she has limits! And I think this exceeds most of them! Especially as Jay made it from armour she last wore nearly a year ago, and has grown since then...
However I had to do it, even if only because I really wanted Trode's reaction (the comment about skinning a rabbit was priceless!) - especially as he says it when Medea is right next to him and Jessica's younger than her! And besides, it made the discovering about Golding a little more interesting that just asking around town.

The rest of it's okay - a bit wordy, but I wanted to have a bit more than the party just turning up, finding out about Dhoulmagus and leaving again. The ending's pretty shamful though - way too cliched, but I couldn't think of another way to end it without the whole thing just peetering out. Overall it's one of my least favourite chapters, but I can't have every chapter filled with excitement. The pace will pick up soon enough. I hope...
