Ok, so if anyone accualy follows what I've been doing, you know that I'm working on a Q3 mod called "Tremulous" ([link] ) But a fellow team member and I found a cool website called [link] which has a collection of funny things that Japanese people have written in english. One of them being a "Hot Space Station Justice" Tee-Shirt. So, we decided to make a map out of it. He's working on the Hot Space Station map, while I'm working on the little robot thats on the shirt and will either be a giant statue or a little robot that greets people to the station.I also just got 3DS max 5 and the brazil test rendering system and wanted to play with rendering, since most of the things I've been doing are with gmax, which has no rendering system what-so-ever.

hey, nice work. so you got max 5? why don't you use the internal LighterTracer renderer? it works pretty close to what you can do with brazil, including radiocity. it's a bit faster and you render tests with low light counts to speed things up. if you have any questions on how to use it, let me know.

Wow, this is cute and creepy at the same time! Cool design, great use of colours (lack thereof?) and texture! The grain looks good.

the grayscale and grain lend themselves to this quite well, it's an excellent piece. The robot's cute yet somehow menacing look is cool too.
