This is just a little something I thought of and made to take a bit of a break from my usual fare.
In an AU of Star Trek, the 24th century was a lot more tumultuous than in canon. Between the Klingons and Romulans fighting each other, the Federation and Cardassians being at war, and the Talarians engaging in border skirmishes with the Federation, Starfleet had to create a more militarized corps of personnel to fight and win battles that regular Security Officers stood no chance against.
