Is there such a thing as a pagan atheist? Or is that an oxymoron like "Christian" or "Muslim" atheist?

I am a Pagan Atheist. A Pagan is someone outside of the main religions.

As a pagan, I am proud to have found this stamp.
I myself am a follower of the Mesopotamian goddess, Lilith.

The short version is that Paganism encompasses a wide variety of nature-based religions, one of the better known ones being Wicca. In Wicca specifically (I know less about other Pagan religions), there is a God and Goddess, and a Wiccan worships them and holds the seasons and nature as sacred.

Thank the goddess, I thought I was the only pagan for the longest time. I'm a Wiccan Pagan, and I couldn't be happier being one. There's no others in my city, and I was getting kind of lonely.

What is Paganism.....? If it doesn't offend you, may I ask what it is about? It seems different. I like learning β₯

Paganism is any religion with the exception of Judaism, Islam, and Christianity.

I don't think buddist and shinto and a few other religions fall under the "pagan" umbrella. And hindu does in only some cases

Paganism isnt really a religion, its just an umberella term for pre habriatic beliefs. I'm pagan, but I dont follow any religion, pagan or otherwise. May I ask what you are? Sorry curious

Paganism itself isn't a religion, i didn't mean for it to sound like that, but any non christian, jewish, or muslim religion is considered a pagan religion.
i just consider myself pagan because i don't follow any specific religion, believing in aspects from many religions instead.

As I see sorry if I misread.
I'm an eclectic pagan myself, I feel its good to be spiritual without being withheld by religious boundaries

KairaFrostfang In reply to Seitar [2011-08-18 01:05:45 +0000 UTC]
It has a lot of gods, and different worlds.. Lots of Evil... It's similar to a lot of old religeons, but not at the same time.
I use them for inspiration in stories and put my own image of them into them...

Love that Paganism is finally making a comeback, its one of the least pretentious faiths out there, and I find its belief system to be much, well, "nicer," than many of the major religions. (I'm actually a strict Humanist, but I have an appreciation for ritual)

Nice design. I like it!
But just so you know.... A Pentagram is a 5 pointed star, representing the elements fire, earth, water, air & spirit, surrounded by a circle, representing how everything is connected.
A Pentacle is a disc of metal, wood or ceramic with a pentagram inscribed on it. It is mainly used on our altar for ceremonial purposes.
ALWAYS in wicca, it points up.

kinda. a pentagram is then the tip of the star points down. a pentacle is then the tip points up. (sorry it took so long to get back to you with a reply. i dont really check this account anymore ^_^)

A pentagram can be pointed up or down. Its still a pentagram. A pentagram is a 5 pointed star (penta- 5 gram- drawn)and the pentacle is the one with the circle. I often wear an inverted (upside down)pentacle
