Description
As you propably see i managed to get a better quality with decend reflections and a quite even light. This render is made in Cinema 4D withoug using Gi.
(background and HDR are from hypershot)
first i made a render in hypershot and i liked the quality, but i wanted the same quality in C4D and tryied to find similar settings.
well, now i like this render much more ^^.
anyway. the next step will be this setting in another background with motion-blur...
thanx to hmoob-phaj-ej. he gave me the idea to this lightning setup ^^
edit: made the shadow's sharper after nog's advice

well done! the design and modeling is really koool! (did u actually design the whole thing?) yet, the car looks a little strange concerning its material...it looks like it's made of carbon fibre rather than metal...i mean, where is all the reflection and light on the car! if u can do it, i am sure it'll be even better!

thx
yes i made the whole thing myself ^^ credits to the design of the reventon goes to Lamborghini of course ;D but the model and stuff is made by me.
moelhead told me the same about the reflections ^^.
but if you look closely on a picture of a real reventon, u will see, that it is mat.
i failed on the paint's colour though...
maybe ill try a more reflecting one soon.

well, i guess this looks fine on a military vihecle, but a sports car should surely look shiny in my mind~

the reventons design is based on The f22-Raptor , which is actually a military jet. ;D
but i agree with you. A sports car should be shiny and glossy ^^

You should turn up the hdr, put on global lighting and more than a single lighsource to get the right lighting set up. Right now it looks like it has non gloss camo painting. more reflection, and If anything I think you should diffuse the shadow more, to get a proper realistic look. IMHO.

okay... ^^
1. hdr is on (on a sky object)
2. i have 15 lightsources in total
3. it shouldnt have a gloss painting... reventon's painting is mat
4. i dont want to render with Global illumination i believe i can get the same(or at least almost same) results without GI as well. thats what i try to accomplish right now ^^.
5. i'll see what i can do about the shadow... (again) but im not sure if i will change it.
but thx 4 the critics

ah.. didn't know it was mat. That makes it totally different, i see that.
Well not using GI, it'll be hard to get the right result, i think. But i'm looking foreward to see what you come up with.

It looks good, but it looks like it's floating. I think you need to play with your shadows, generally a shadow will be sharp at the point where it meets the ground and then soften the further away it gets.

yeah, i guess i'll make the shadow sharper... but the edges will still be soft.
thx 4 advise
