Ha! I live in midwestern US and this happened to us once a year or two ago, it had been so long since such an icestorm struck us, that all businesses and schools were practically closed and the city was literally frozen for about 2 days!

That's something new even for russian winter. I can't remember seeing anything like this before.
The difference is that in Moscow life just goes on as usual)
However outdoor wiring (networks and electricity) suffered a serious damage and there is a ton of fallen trees.
