Even with Mr. Beefcake there, the Reaper Destroyer continues to dwarf EVERYTHING........

Quite true. And that's just the smallest Reaper! The big ones are about 12 times that one's size.

The info on the Scarab is incorrect. It's 50m in Halo 2 and 38.8 in Halo 3.

Really? I was fairly certain I got correct statistics on it. I'll recheck my sources. Thanks for the heads up!

Would you mind providing links to your sources? I checked the Halo Encyclopedia and the online Halopedian and the measurements I found are as follows:

Halo Encyclopedia lists the Scarab as being 48m in length, but gives no measurements for width or height.

Halopedian lists the scarab as being 19.8m in height, 30.1m in width, and 48m in length.

I'm curious about this now, so toss me some links and I'll take a look! Thanks!

I heard that Chamber is 8 meters tall, but your chart is actually more correct because a human needs to fit in his head.

Thank you. I do my best to scale everything appropriately, so I'm glad to hear it's working!

Why is Eva Unit-01 on the list twice; was there a height change between NGE and REBUILD?

Depends on the shot, the artists were very inconsistent with size.

Eruisar In reply to lexon-von-zix [2013-12-23 14:53:25 +0000 UTC]

No, it's an inside joke about the inconsistency of the show's scaling when I measure it at any given time. One of my measurements actually placed EVA Unit-01 at somewhere around 430m tall. It's mostly just a humorous sight gag.

lexon-von-zix In reply to Eruisar [2013-12-24 02:08:16 +0000 UTC]

Damn, 430m? Where was that inconsistency when the Reapers landed; would of made the war a cake walk.

But seriously, in what scene did you manage to pull THAT number from, 'couse that is nuts.

CzargentSane In reply to lexon-von-zix [2013-12-30 01:17:24 +0000 UTC]

There are a couple. One where he's falling on a mountain, one where only half his body is sticking up from the ground, etc.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 0

Eruisar In reply to lexon-von-zix [2013-12-24 04:36:16 +0000 UTC]

Too true. Though to be fair that would have meant Reaper Destroyers that were sometimes up to a few kilometers tall, rather than 160 meters.

The scene was the moment when EVA Unit-01 had fought and defeated EVA Unit-03, crippling and then eating it. It's a moment when we see Unit-01 hunched over and on its knees, and it's still laughably huge compared to surrounding objects. 430 was just an estimate (because it's hard to measure the full height of a mech that's on its knees and leaning over), but it was somewhere near that I believe.

Epic, but I have a bit of a problem with Lagann. Simon, at the age of 14 is only a short bit under the height of Lagann. He's able to climb in without a ladder or even much effort at all, making Lagann only about 1.8 or so metres tall. (Oh and Lagann is labeled as Gurren.)

Could Platinum Robo from "The Wonderful 101" be added to the roster in the future?

Eruisar In reply to sinpirate2012 [2013-12-14 17:25:18 +0000 UTC]

I'm honestly not sure. I've looked at a few reference pictures of it and I honestly can't figure out a size. If you can provide a picture of it next to something that I can easily compare to, I'll be able to judge whether it'd fit here or not. Thanks for the suggestion though!

The only issue I have with this is the Battlemechs. The Atlas doesn't even reach 20 meters, let alone 30.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 2

CzargentSane In reply to YuKigono [2013-12-09 01:40:37 +0000 UTC]

For many of the "requested" mechs, i.e. the ones from series that neither of us are familiar with, we just have to rely on the information people give us, or any pictures we can find (though not being familiar, sources are difficult to look up). Β The best image we could find was a cross section where the Atlas appears to be quite large.Β

If there is a better thing to scale it from, it wont take more than a few seconds to fix.

Would you mind explaining what source you used? Because I couldn't find an official size and I had to settle for comparing artwork and the games.
