Description
* " Is this what took you so long, sweetheart?"-- " Don`t you think your armor being a bit over protective? Is this your first engagement of this kind?"
-- " We are only going to fight a tribe of Orcs."
-- "Maybe one or two Trolls on the side"
-- "Well, didn`t you guys say come well prepared?"
-- " And? You really think we aren't?"
***edit for some explanation:
It`s rather a funny way of expressing my take on Fantasy Heroines and the clothes they wear in most fantasy art. Just because we see 3 of them in bikinis, doesn`t mean they are right. It more shows behaviour we find everywhere, dresscodes and rules made by society. In this particular theme, the rules for what Fantasy Heroines have to wear was established by male artists. The message might be hidden, but with all given respect to the beauty of a woman's body, well protective armor is important for survival.
** Enjoy, let me know please and Render On...Happy Easter, everyone!!!

Plot twist the three scantily dressed women are Monks or Sisters of Rapture...
I know it's ridiculous. Only ever seen two female character dress like this in table top. One was Wizard who enchanted her Robes of theΒ Arch MagiΒ to look like that and the other was a Priestess of a Love Goddess and she wore +5 Adamantine Full Plate with the Glamer enhancement. Both female players so it realy was kinda odd.

Eh, gut them right there. Save the time of hauling their remains home from the field.
Without having read the 11 pages of other comments:
What is the armor using for surface? It does not look like metal. Is it supposed to be an etched surface?
Is the left thigh supposed to be asymmetric to the right?
The three chicks look too much like soft-duty harem girls, and not muscular swordswomen. But maybe that's the point.

Heh, I laughed when I saw this. One thing that always ticks me off when gaming is that the females armor Barely covers their important bits, and it very rarely actualyl protects anything. Thankfulyl not all games are like that anymore, have found some that has a decent armor for the most part.. but still.
It's laughable what is considered a "protective" armor for females in most games *shakes head with a wry smile*

I could make a case for the prevalence of the chain maille bikinis in the art created by FEMALE gamers.

As far as I know, she left her helmet strapped to the saddle of her horse which is parked outside....grin

Metal lingerie, high heels, long, unruly hair that looks like it'll get in your eyes with the slightest movement... All they're missing is the thigh-highs. Isn't female fantasy designs the greatest?

When I was like, fifteen and going through Women's Sufferage courses in high school I often thought it like that. Then I was introduced to characters like Valleria and Ysari and Nepon and I started to wonder, did these women dress like this because of their male creators, or because they were so good they got cocky? Val not so much b/c she was a creation of Robert E. Howard, but she was probably the only classical heroine that was truly badass on her own right.

Belated thank you

ha ha, that's a point I totally agree with you. I was always wondering why skin happens to be such a great armor in all those fantasy games...

I'm not so sure about blaming male artists...... Absolutely the most terrible, stupid, and disrespectful portrayals of women that I've personally encountered in fiction (then again, I don't read comicbooks) all turned out to be by women authors. Just wtf after wtf.
Anyways, as a female jujutsu-ka and Renaissance faire goer, I can definitely appreciate this piece of art in a very realistic sense.
Looks like you used DAZ. I downloaded that, but haven't tried it yet.

Well, let's have a look at classic fantasy artists who started it all.
Names like Frank Frazetta, Boris Vallejo, Luis Royo come to mind...all males

Great picture! As a female and a fantasy fan, I am like whenever I see most artwork involving a heroine. Because I would totally go out and fight the invading barbarian hordes while essentially wearing mail titty-tassles.
And in regards to the artistic quality of the picture: rock on! The texture of the metal on the armor is great - gives it a very real feeling. And I love the disapproving expressions of the chicks in the bikini mail. Nicely done.

Indeed, always refreshing to see full body plate mail on a heroine or even a subordinate. Just cause they are fully covered doesn't mean they are unskilled, lack fighting prowess or ugly. Love the image and the message it conveys. *thumbs up*

Of all the things to capture my attention, I particularly like the mail on the armoured woman's backside. I'm like: "What a great idea! The light mail would breathe better than cloth, but still offers some extra modesty over the wide rings; as well as another layer of protection." I may have to try that on a real suit of armour one day.

I love the details in the woman's armor (on the right), specially the small scratches, discoloration and overall roughness of it. I also like the texturing in the woman's boots to the farthest left of this.

To be honest, it's been a while since I played WoW, I hardly remember. Wasn't it real armor for most classes?

I'm getting a kick out of this. The internet provides so many "Real Armor" vs. "Sexy Fantasy Babe" threads, and the tongue in cheek humor here is just great. Love it and keep up the good stuff!
