Yes. In all honesty I feel that Barney Stockman is a misunderstood character. Why because half the internet and fans of TMNT think he's a short tempered strict guy that hates his twin brother. And honestly I don't get why though. I rewatched the episode "Raphael knocks em dead" And to be real with you, Barney doesn't even act strict or short tempered. Throughout the whole thing he acted just like Baxter only slightly more insane & childish. Speaking of Baxter, People think he hates him because of how he talks about him. Uhh technically he didn't really say anything bad about Baxter. Infact when the subject was on him all he said was he thinks he mutated himself & that he's better looking than him. And I'm gonna asume he added that because of Baxter's current state and humans look better than flies any day.....That Ooorrr he's one of those people that think redheads are more attractive then blondes. Mainly he just doesn't like being confused for his brother, infact judging his behavior, mentality & his high voice I'm guessing Barney's the younger brother. And he must not like being in his shadow. And I can relate really. I have an older brother who was always the popular one & the jock. And people were more drawn to him, & every now & then someone would either confuse me for him or say he's your brother? or you his brother. So I know how Barney feels. But not wanting to be the shadow of your older brother means hating him to alot of fans of TMNT. Some fanfics I've read with him even go to the extreme of him trying to kill Baxter, Jeebus no one would kill there own brother people!well...except this guy ibrizzy.deviantart.com/art/Sca…
Plus: If Barney was so called horrible to Baxter throughout the years, how come he wasn't one of the people Baxter wanted revenge on during his cross fusion?
but point being I think we were all just to quick to judge Barney. Yeah even I at one point belived he was a mean bro too until I rewatched his debut. And it's truly sad how Unnoticed, so misunderstood & judged he is... Barney Stockman truly needs more love and a bit of recognition. Infact that all he seems to want is his own identity. He may have had just one episode but he's truly an interesting character we should've got to know more of.

Honestly, yeah, I agree with a lot of this. I do think he comes across as wanting his own identity; he just seems to freak out a lot because he's so sick of no one letting him have it. And I came to a similar conclusion as you regarding the "I'm much better-looking!" line.
I think the only way Barney would ever try to kill Baxter is if it was in a fit of blind rage; people sadly can do things like that in such a state, even with people they like. But deliberately planning for it or otherwise purposely doing? No way.

completly understandable. And if I weren't allowed the same I'd freak out too. But I feel bad that he's so misunderstood. And I agree 100% on the blind rage. My family members would often try to kill eachother like that too
