Sometimes the scanner can just kill the colors. Also I've really liked how the WiP pics have looked, though I should have taken this when there was more light.

That makes it sound like you have a cruddy scanner. I've got a pretty good one that I basically never use any more. Want it?

I appreciate that, but I don't think it's that the scanner is bad. It has something to do with the markers and the light hitting them making the colors themselves much more intense. Photos show the colors as they actually are.

I wonder how many of her I'll see being cosplayed next week at Anime Boston? I do wish I could go to PAX East in 2 weeks, but by the time I heard passes were being sold, they were sold out.

Thursday definitely shows available passes still but I get that a weekday may not work out for most. If you don't mind going on Sunday only, that looks to be the only option.
