Strictly speaking, you're not wrong, but there was some shady tactics going on from the Amazon corner. This is the dress she wore in the first Ranma 1/2 OVA. She uses a special brooch on Ranma that makes him feel exclusively positive emotions about her. She wears this dress to the party the Nekohanten throws to announce Ranma's agreement to marry her.

I knew it looked familiar! It's been so long since I watched any of the OVAs, or the show itself, but that was the first episode I ever saw. It's what got me into the show in the first place.
