Yes, I suppose, it could. Although, I was never sure, what the point of that was,...besides being a prick (shrug). I guess this, was their passive-aggressive way, of getting back at dissatisfied wishers, or something.

Well some times it would be that. Other times, the genie is a Grammar Nazi, so word your wishes properly. The last kind is the, I want to conquer the world and heaven type of genie, willing to do what it takes to do so.
