DeviantArt, why didn't you include that option when you rolled out your "help welcome new deviants" system? I dunno what your fetish is, nor would I really care about it all told, but I started hating it since I got about 3 dick pics from it total from a bunch of people who think live action genitals are art.

For the record; I get what you are trying to do, helping brand new users out by getting active community members to check out their very first posts and all. But a little more content moderation is recommended since DeviantArt is supposed to be a little more appropriate for the family. This isn't Rule 34 or PornHub, don't make it one!

I was screwing around and found out about this new option that was underneath my Blocked Users list and found out that the option for "new members" wasn't ticked. I never saw that option before when I got hit with those "Help Welcome New Deviants" notifications time and time again.

I dunno about you but whenever I see a notification I honestly expect it to be new favorites, comments, likes, DA protect alerts, or whatever that is something we want that provides us with satisfaction or feedback. But every time I find out that it isn't anything like those I get ticked off after unknowingly falling for a false hope or something.

I guess we shouted loud enough to convince the staff...!
