Description
At the still point of the turning world. Neither flesh nor fleshless;Neither from nor towards; at the still point, there the dance is,
But neither arrest nor movement. And do not call it fixity,
Where past and future are gathered. Neither movement from nor towards,
Neither ascent nor decline. Except for the point, the still point.
...
~ Burnt Norton Pt 2, T.S. Eliot

Gosh, at a glance, it seems so rigid. Looking deeper, it's more a network carefully woven into a forest of cooler colours. What came to my mind is being locked in an ice haus [preferably igloo], or blizzard. Even though it's busy, it doesn't seem chaotic or frantic. It's like a calm entrapment? Like being forced to stay at home because of a blizzard. Hmm. Yeah, though it doesn't seem threatening, it's like an obstacle.
And at full-view, it's a different thing entirely! The top left really resembles cracked ice in a spot, and the bottom right resembles chilled grass [extremely chilled]. The dot/hole in the center of the thickest white strands leads me to believe I'm being dangled above it. But the most foreground strands make me think I'm staring in front of me. So maybe it's not necessarily being a direct part of, but more indirect. Like watching a play being performed in front of you; it's not physically grabbing you and thrusting you on stage, but it's communicating and pulling you in.
...Yeah, this is beautiful.

Perfectly illustrates the inspirational snippet and the assemblage is so subtle as not to declare itself

thanks!
I'm glad some people are reading the description and are trying to make sense of my art (that's so rare to come by these days.. )
and i was sort of expecting for GIMP to mess the colors up since i tweaked the hell out of the layers.. it didn't, and i'm proud of it *pats the gimp dog's head*

It does sometimes seem to be all about numbers, both in uploads and throw-away one-liners However, there remains a sufficiency of us dedicated to art and more meaningful interaction, so that will in turn suffice to maintain interest
