-Sigh-Somehow Nayeli looks like a spitting image of Aleu, I'm told. A lot.
To be honest, I really don't like the pup designs for Balto 2. I think they're lumpy and odd looking, like a stuffed animal that was sewn up wrong. And if you really pay attention to Aleu throughout the film, she has a LOT of inconsistencies in her design. One minute she'll have dark ears, and the next they're the same color as the rest of her milkshake colored fur.Β
Sometimes the inner part of her hind legs are the same color as her underbelly, and sometimes they're not.
And she has man brows. You know, those eyebrows with the fluff tufts in them? I think they look manly. But even those are off and on.
But even in her inconsistencies, she never really looks like Nayeli to me.

Nah you're right, her colors are more like Balto than Aleu, I figured out with some embarrassment.. But certainly NOT Aleu xD

Maybe not a spitting image, but I can see why people say they look alike, even despite the numerous animation errors that rise from Aleu's movie being a poorly-produced DTV movie.

I'd say its mostly just due to people comparing things to stuff they know about, and especially since both characters are wolves (well, kind of) and have a similar fur pattern (although the color is different), people would just immediately make that comparison.Β

They looked NOTHING like Balto. Light gray, wings, totally different style. Just..a wolf. Its so stupid. xD
I don't like how the Balto wolves and puppies have these huge chest cavities and tiny waistbands.Β

Most people's first impression is 'wow, you drew Aleu!' and it just kinda bugs me.
I didn't like the way any of the puppies looked in Balto 2. They're design is awful.
