...why cloven hooves? I mean, sure, unicorn... but the myth also has them as much more goatlike than horselike. Why use only that one aspect?

I like the idea of unicorns being more goatlike, but I think for my little pony it would set them apart from the others a bit too much. Since in the show the only difference is the horn itself.. I think the hooves are just suble enough to work though
