Uhm... yeah... my submission for the winter-contest for

I'm most satisfied with how Neji turned out ^_^ but yeah... bear with me... the lineart was made on the computer with only a mouse as I don't have a tablet so yeah... there are quite a few mistakes (just look at pooor Sasuke... ) anyway, hope you like it. And, hehe, I coulsn't help myself... I just had to show Sasuke's navel.... X3...

The mother's in Konoha has chased the not-so-social boys in Konoha (and... uhmm... Gaachan is visiting a relative in Konoha for Christmas )out to carry out this tradition... well... Sasuke followed his older brother and Kakashi came because ... yeah... because he wanted to right! *movingon*

Info for the club (not interested? skip this, though it explains the holiday and stuff...):

YES! there is a holiday image in it the sack Gaara is holding... well, for me it's a holiday item, because when I used to do this as a kid I and my friend always used a sack like this... so yeah... is it good enough or do I have to include something more?

Anyways... to explain this...

It's a Norwegian Christmas-tradition that between Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve the kids are going something called "å gå julebukk" (directly translated; to go christmas-goat, silly isn't it?) anyway, it can be compared to halloween, the kids go from door to door and sings christmas-songs for candy, which they colects in either baskets or sacks like the one Gaara is holding. Usually they also dress up as goblins (there is no direct transation for the norwegian word "nisser" so goblins have to do...) to add more christmas feel to it. I didn't dress up the Konoha kids because they're in Japan.. and I guess they don't have snow and stuff and then it would only look silly, because we usually dress quite heavily because of the cold.

To those interested in the history behind this tradition:

In the "heathen" days (when people believed in Tor and Odin and Frøya and all the other norse gods), it was a tradition to butcher a goat for Christmas. When they had done this they sat the head of the goat on a stake and draped one person in it's skin. Then the women dressed as men and the men dressed as womens and they were wearing maskes and then they went from house to house and sang, it was only adults that did this, the kids wasn't allowed. Then they were invited in for coffee and christmas cookies. The people that got visited by these people had to guess who they were and if they guessed right they had to take off their masks. No one is sure why this tradition began, but it is believed that when Christianity was brought to Norway, it was used to "chase away, or scare away Lucifer" from the houses they visited. This has after some centuries evolved into todays tradition, where it's the kids that goes, and without the goat-head and skin.
