Description
A picture of a picture. This was another inspired by the Gormenghast trilogy. She seemed to me to be beautiful but very dark at the same time. I wanted the red elm and form to convey that. Sold.Related content

Thanks. While reading those books I started imagining my own version of how the characters might look. Fuschia was a bit of a darker, tragic figure and having a darker piece of wood, I tried to portray that. What struck me as odd was that the person who bought it seemed to relate to it but was hesitating because, as she put it,I was a male artist and sheΒ apparently questioned my doing a female. (????)Β
