Description
My final semester projectI'll just post up the main illustrations and information text
Storms are explained in meteorology, the study of the
atmosphere, as effects of the uneven heating of earth by
the sun. It is how the earth copes by distributing heat
across its surface, causing wind, clouds and precipitation.
They have also been explained as higher beings who
bring changes in the sky, land and sea. Thunder, the
sound of Thor, the norse god of thunder, riding his
chariot across the sky, hurricanes and floods are
generated by dragons in the chinese mythology, and
blizzards are caused by yukionna in japanese folklore.
Every storm out there, are formations of Mrots, seen
mostly by animals and children, but children tend to lose
the sight as they age, for reasons unknown. Minds that are
more open to the idea that there are creatures existing
are more likely to see them. Informing you about mrots will
direct your mind into the possibility of seeing one yourself.
This bestiary contains details of different characteristics
about few of the mrots, rendered depictions of mrots
in their environments and scientific illustrations
containing information about their physical details.

graphic design and animation

Oh, I see. That's nice that they let you have options. Are they really gonna publish your illustrations in magazines, or something?

Yep, it's supposed to be a 1 minute animation. My story based on the characters I made would have taken 3 minutes long LOL. So I would have to simplify it and save the story for the final assignment. But I'm so happy that my lecturer thinks it's a cool story omg

Actually, no. So far it's just been me telling people the story face to face LOL. But I'll tell you. THROUGH TEXT
It's based on Greek mythology's Charon, the ferrymen of the underworld. But the story is set in modern era, so while Charon is still doing the same job, he is now a bus conductor of the underworld, where instead of him being paid with coins, the souls of the dead have to pay their fare by tickets. So on one of his rounds, he finds a stowaway in his bus who's a living little girl. But according to his watch (it shows the status of the soul), her time in the hourglass is stopped; she's in limbo. So she tags along with Charon for some time and they grow into this grandfather-granddaughter relationship. Then one day, Sofie (the girl)'s hourglass is finally moving towards the bottom, meaning she's living again. He drops her off at the bus stop to the living world, and Sofie wakes up in the hospital, having woke up from her long coma.

That's funny, 'cause Charon's habit of smoking a japanese smoking pipe came from watching xxxHolic, LOL.
I would say he feels sort of glad that she gets to leave. In a 'she gets a second chance and she's so young' sort. And if she goes to the afterlife, he will most likely not see her again, but who knows? The souls of people tend to look similar and emotionless, but maybe Charon just knows instinctively anyway?

He's only the 'ferryman', he just helps them pass on to their individual afterlife. There might be a system in how they do things in the underworld, Charon has some higher-ups that he adheres to. There's a whole other world in the underworld, it's like an expanded universe LOL
So yeah, though my lecturer thinks it's very good, he said I should leave it for my final assignment. Gotta simplify the story, maybe just tell a 1 minute story about Charon's daily life as a bus conductor of the underworld? I got the PERFECT song for the original story though, if you listen to it with the story in mind.

you could do some sort of introduction right now
like a one-shot manga sort
and then later do the full on story for final : D

Yeah, that. Problem is, what do I DOOOO. I was watching a lot of Wallace & Gromit when I came up with the story, so it's really UK heavily based. I really like how they show their life from the beginning including their occupations and stuff ^^
I wonder should I post the sketch I did of Charon and Sofie which is part of a scene from the story I wanted :/

its all peaceful, and then something crazy goes in, crazy about for a while, situation calms down and then its back to quietness

Oh, so the three act structure? Hehe, maybe? I kind of like the idea of showing how Charon prepares himself for the next shift, like drinking coffee and reading the news. Uh, I didn't mention this, but Charon is half man half animal. His head is the African gerenuk, while the rest of his body is human. I put some mane at his neck, and I think it's funny if he combed his mane with a small toothed comb xD
I need a scanner to scan these sketches I did though, buh. When do you think your graphic design will be published, btw?

Haha yeah! I'll get some drawings of Sofie too. She's really obsessed with anything bunny related, but ironically hates carrots 'cause she's a picky eater. And she's from Czech Republic, so I would love to draw her speaking in Czech xD
