Joey had probably confessed his feelings to Sharky many times, it's what he likes to do every now and then. He really loves Sharky with all his heart, but he knows full on well, that he can never be partners (husband & husband) with him. (There's a reason for it)

Okay I just want to make it clear xDD;
Joey is bisexual, and prefers to like boys/guys than girls. He has been best friends with Sharky since their early childhood, and as they moved on with their life, he started to have feelings for the shark..... It went quite horrible when he couldn't control them.
Sharky is NOT homosexual or bisexual, in fact he is straight. Like full on straight, 100%. He doesn't really like or support the LGBT thing, but he also has nothing against it. He really wants a girlfriend but hopeless on finding one suited to him *Poor Sharky*

Yeah, their difference in sexuality, uhmm... yeah.... They can't get married :U

Sharky has had to live with Joey's uhmm.... slight harrasments, his wet kisses, and his nights sleeping with him (And some activities I should not mention here at all) etc, but really he doesn't care about it, even though he really disliked it.

Because Sharky never wants to hurt his best friend's feelings, even though the Joey knew that he has really been a hassle and nuisance towards Sharky with his "harrasments". He felt very sorry for it and also not being able to control his feelings and emotions.
