XD well yes! I do like a bit of horror in my mix, however, most of Sonic horrors/creepypastas I feel meh about them.

The difference with Tails Doll is that, whether the creepypasta is scary or not, the character itself is quite obscure, and we don't need to read a scary story attached to it to see why it's kinda creepy. Heck, even Archie Comic artists take it for creepy means!

So more than the pastas, I find interesting in this character's background itself.

I can't rate any creepypasta cuz I pretty much hate it in general. But yeah, you're right the doll's creepy without it.
