This is really nice. I've always struggled with backgrounds and how to create something that looks real, rather than a bunch of lines trailing off to a perspective point. Is there a general process that you start with or do you simply build up an idea that you have in your head until it works?Β

This is just from an idea that is generated while playing with random silhouettes I've created within a bunch of strokes from an existing picture. For this one, I picked a photo with the color theme I liked and played around with it by adding a bunch of shapes on top. It'll trigger a vague scene in my head then I'll just keep adding elements until its done.Β

How long does it usually take to make a piece like this?
I always feel like work's like these either take a shit load of time ,
or there are more than one artist's that are working on it
