Think you could do, like, a future version of this?

Perhaps one that would fit into the Tron Legacy universe?

Maybe with a way to shorten the wheelbase in bike mode and reduce the rake so you get a more normal steering angle too?

is it modular? each crew memeber can split on his own mission?

what ahppens to the front cage? is there any armament pointing to the front?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

EstevesLuis In reply to sadyVONschattig [2013-11-21 19:44:30 +0000 UTC]

For how I understand the word modular, I think yes it is (pardon my English). That's a good thing to add man, haven't thought of it honestly, the splitting I have thought of is only used as last resort to confuse large enemy pursuers (for escaping basically). There is no armament on front because its not built for attacking/not designed for engaging enemy units. It's for surveying perimeter / spying (as you will see on part two). Pardon my English man. haha

well, glad you could pop some new ideas here, i think it could have potential

regarding the front armament, i think you could slip a drum magazine smg in driver's console. indeed not for direct combat, but to increase the survivability of the crew. some periscopic sights erecting vertically could also enhance the vision of the crew over small trees and bushes, or rocks if environment provides. just sayin

your english is fine, don't worry it

Yup, another weapon would give them justice I think . The periscopes though I'm not sure because they already got support drones as eyes, I can give it a try just for emergency reasons. Thanks man.

Great concept! But I don't get how the bike join and where the middle section goes

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

EstevesLuis In reply to storag [2013-11-15 10:38:16 +0000 UTC]

Hi! Someone already pointed this out, please read the comments below. but to answer your question. The middle section is disposable, it doesn't have the important parts of the car. Basically the driver has to operate 2 bikes simultaneously using a remote sensor connected to both bikes. The separation of both bikes will ONLY happen as last resort small explosion. Chassis has a rail system connected to side of the bike.Β

I already have the whole sequence of escape that will be illustrated on the last page of this project.

Thanks for your time.

As a mean guy who points at things that "it would not work" I have to ask:

what happens with middle section (cocpit in car mode) when they go into bike mode?

Plus:

shooter should have 360 degree field of fire, or if not possible front arc would be better.

and I don't see much reason to go into bike mode...

it explodes into 2 as an escape route, you see, the title has part one to it. calm down man.

Sorry if I sounded negative...

Just wanted to ask about cockpit, and than I just extended my comment by two other thigs.

That concept looks good, it's just that I'm that minority with bit of engineering education who want's every sci-fi concept to be plausible

EstevesLuis In reply to Flying-Snake [2013-11-14 10:12:44 +0000 UTC]

bike mode only happens as a last resort of escape.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 0

EstevesLuis In reply to Flying-Snake [2013-11-14 10:09:41 +0000 UTC]

thats cool, I'm used to it. The cockpit has the lowest electronic parts as possible (it has no engine whatsoever) , thats why systems (screens) on it aren't directly attached, it folds back at the side panels of the bike as the chassis pushes back in escape mode. I've got 3 pages for this, with the whole escaping sequence.
