Hello everyone! I know that recently I have been posting a lot of Great War content, and have been talking about a potential project with them. And believe me, there is still something I want to do with that. But recently I have been working on pieces for my job with the National Park Service related to the American Revolution. With this, and because I am so ADHD in my thoughts and ideas, I have begun looking at developing a project centered around characters in the revolution. I feel that with this topic, I could cover a very wide and diverse cast of characters and stories that would provide for a very rich story.

So here is one of the first characters I have developed so far. His name is Ezra. He was born into slavery in Salem, Massachusetts in 1764. His mother Irene is also enslaved. Ezra is unaware that his father is actually his enslaver, Charles Rowley, a wealthy merchant in Salem. When war breaks out in the colonies in 1775, Ezra is brought along by Mister Rowley's son, Lieutenant Elijah Rowley, to Boston to act as his servant. Ezra sees service throughout the siege, including at the Battle of Bunker Hill. He will also meet other young men who have gathered to fight the King's Army, including free man of color, 18 year old Jordan Williams of Lincoln. Together, the two young men will form a close bond, and as the war progresses, Ezra will soon discover his journey to freedom will be under the banner of Washington and the Continental Army.

I have really enjoyed developing Ezra's character as well as the others I have lined up for the story. Hope to continue to see it grow.
